actually, urine has a significant energy content. but it's in a form that's usable by flies & bacteria.

C'Mon guys, this is really a worthwhile invention. Taking something that absolutely everyone has that nobody wants, getting rid of the waste and generating clean power and a from is really a neat trick....


Now, if only I knew what was "special" about that nickel electrode....

Also curious what happens to the nitrogren. I assume the hydrogen bonds with oxygen to make water as a waste product.

It could either be vented by the other electrode or attach itself to create some other molecule, but really, nitrogen isn't a problem, since 70% or so of the air is nitrogen, anyway, and you could make fertilizer from it if you could extract it in some useable form.
